OUR STORY
Each coffee bean has a long story from the moment it’s planted till we take that first sip of coffee in the morning. As a coffee roaster I want to tell the stories of the producers of each coffee bean and honor their passion and hard work through my art. I want to accentuate the humanity over the commodity. There is so much history and ritual wrapped up in coffee. There is love and passion passed down from generation to generation. I want my focus to be on the people who produced the coffee and the people who I’m about to serve the coffee to. If you don’t have a deep appreciation and love for both you destroy something beautiful. The most amazing cups of coffee I have ever had are connected to a memory. A combination of flavor and profound moments with incredible people. The people are the reason for it all. To me coffee is an expression of love. I love the coffee bean but more importantly I love the people. That’s how I chose the name. Suki means love. It’s used to describe the love you have for your favorite food or the love you have for a person. Love is something we nurture that brings out something beautiful in the people around us and the coffee we drink. My goal is to walk a razor sharp line between innovation beyond what others are doing while respecting the history, culture, and most importantly humanity of the people who allow me to express myself through coffee.

UNCOMPROMISING ETHICS FROM BEAN TO CUP
At Suki Coffee, we believe actions are stronger than words. We go way beyond fair trade. Farmers deserve more than the ability to survive they deserve to have the ability to thrive. We not only pay them for their hard work we pay into a farmer impact fund. They have access to money for housing, their farms and healthcare. Our coffee is then roasted on the only zero emissions roaster using solar power. You can not only buy our coffee online you can hang out with us at one of our coffee truck events. Our coffee trailer is solar powered and all of our cups and bags are compostable. Our vision isn’t just selling coffee it’s building community around the things we love.
